9-9-9….How sweet it is

I have been anticipating for this date eversince this frenzy of repeating numbers of the date (maybe about 3-4 years ago, I read something about these number wonders and definitely anticipated for this date). And now that it has come, I couldn’t pass on this natural phenomena and write a blog dedicated to it, on my 112th (11-2=9) day here in the land where number 9 is regarded as unlucky.

I got these facts from this link:

*Not only does the date look good in marketing promotions, but it also represents the last set of repeating, single-digit dates that we’ll see for almost a century (until January 1, 2101), or a millennium (mark your calendars for January 1, 3001), depending on how you want to count it. >This one is cool since it is like saving the best for last…hehehe

*The sum of the two-digits resulting from nine multiplied by any other single-digit number will equal nine. So 9×3=27, and 2+7=9.

*Multiply nine by any two, three or four-digit number and the sums of those will also break down to nine. For example: 9×62 = 558; 5+5+8=18; 1+8=9.

*Sept. 9 also happens to be the 252nd day of the year (2 + 5 +2)…
>>>Interesting play of numbers isn’t it? It all leads to 9…hehe

*In Japanese, the word for nine is a homophone for the word for suffering, so the number is considered highly unlucky – second only to four, which sounds like death> What a pity but yet again, I won’t give up my fondness of the 9 for this one…:)

Much have been said, all has been done. 9 is still the same and always will be my most special number to my heart. Can’t wait for 9/9/99! haha you wish!!!
